Delivery details, p&p and returns

How are my books delivered?

  1. For home deliveries we use Royal Mail for standard deliveries and a courier service for next day PM and items over a certain weight.

How much is Postage & Packing?

  • Free delivery. Standard UK shipping (Second Class) may take up to 3 working days (dependent on Royal Mail) for delivery of in-stock items.
  • Upgrade to First Class (£2.50 per order). May take one to two working days (dependent on Royal Mail) for delivery of in-stock items.
  • Premium Dispatch: (£5.00 per order). Orders for titles in-stock will be dispatched sameday (for next day delivery before 1 pm) if ordered before 3 pm (Mon - Thurs). Orders placed on a Friday will arrive the following Monday. Sorry, this service is unavailable at weekends.
  • Items not in stock and which have the 'Please allow up to a month for delivery' availability message will need to be sourced from our suppliers. Please contact the Customer Service Department for an estimated delivery date.

How do I return an item?

  • Everyone at SamedayBooks wants you to enjoy every book you buy from us. Therefore, if you are not completely satisfied with the books you receive please return them (within 28 days of receipt) and you will receive a full refund for the cost of the book and any postage charges incurred.
  • Please enclose the delivery note that came with the item. If the item delivered was different from the one you ordered, please write the details on the delivery note and we will send you the correct item. Please make sure you get a receipt from the post office or carrier who is returning the item to us. We may refuse to accept items returned more than 28 days after they have been delivered to you.
  • If you receive an item that is faulty or damaged you can return it for a replacement. Your statutory rights are not affected.
