How do I place an order?

• On each title detail page you will see the availability of the book: whether it is available same day (order before 3pm), in stock at a shop or if it will take longer to source from a publisher.
• To order any title, simply click on the button. The item will appear in Your Basket at the top right hand of each page and also when you go to Checkout
• Don'y worry, you can still go back and add more items to the basket. Just continue shopping as normal and Your Basket will update as and if necessary.
• When you have finished choosing your titles, go to the Checkout . At this point, you can make changes by following the instructions on the page. To amend the quantity you have ordered of an item, you can enter a new amount in the quantity field and either press the Update or the Delete button.
• When you are ready to submit your order click Continue to Pay to continue to the next stage. This will take you to the next screen where you will be able to either register if you are a first time user, or login so we can recognize your details.
• Once you have logged in the shopping basket will show a page confirming your address and details. You will also have an option to collect your item from one of our shops.
• Once you are happy with the delivery arrangements for your order, click on the Place Order to be taken to the next stage.
• If you have chosen home delivery to the UK you will see a page offering three different delivery options: Free delivery, 1st Class Upgrade and next day Premium Courier Dispatch. Once you have confirmed the delivery method press Continue and enter your credit or debit card details and any promotional code if you have one.
• Please check that your order detail are correct. If they are, click on the Place Order button. Once this is pressed then the order is placed, and you will see an Order Summary confirmation page.
• Your order can now be viewed in the My Account section.

How do I use Google Checkout?

• If you have a Google Account/email address you will be able to complete your purchase using the Google Checkout payment method.
• When you click on Checkout you will also see the Google Checkout button:

How many items can I order?

• You can order as many items as you wish. However, if your order is very large we may telephone you to confirm your details.

What if my item is out of stock?

• Unfortunately, although we can supply over 250,000 titles same day, the sheer number of books available (more than 1.2 million titles) means that some inevitably cannot be delivered that quickly. If this is the case, we will keep you informed of your order's progress and try to source your item as quickly as we can.
• If we cannot meet the original delivery date quoted we will let you know by phone or email as soon as we know. You will then be given the option to cancel the order. This remains an option at any time before the book is delivered.

How do I cancel an order?

• You can cancel an order for any reason. You can do this via the cancel order option under the My account option, or by the contact methods listed here. Cancellations should be received up to 28 days after receipt of your order.
• If the order placed was for home delivery, you can return the product and have the full cost refunded, the cost of return will refunded if received within 28 days. Full details on returns can be found here
• Obviously many orders are delivered for you to collect on the same day – if you no longer require the order just let us know by calling the store direct.
• All refunds will be processed within 30 days of us receiving your cancellation.
